A simple rule in Hindu temples in Bali.
In a Hindu temple, you must wear a sarung if you are not using a long pants. Sarung is meant to cover the "unholy" part of our body, especially under the waist part.
So ya its unholy so no choice.
Besides that you've got to dress properly and to ladies who has their menses, you are prohibited to enter the premises.
